Wrapping Up The Semester

We have found ourselves cutting scope as much as we can, which is always painful when it means getting rid of peoples hard work, but we have removed another background character from the short, freeing up a little more time for us to finish by our deadline next semester. It has been really tough watching teammates 'drop plates' and not rushing to catch them. What i mean by that is I feel that I have been picking up slack so much that people expect it and are slacking MORE than they were, so I have been putting in effort to make sure my team knows what is their work and what is mine. I am admittedly struggling with this, as many of my team members seem to already have defaulted to asking me to help with something rather than troubleshooting it myself. On one hand I'm happy to help and have more time as I have finished rigging, but on the other these are basic things that would be more efficient for them to troubleshoot and take initiative on themselves.
I have improved our effects production and worked on troubleshooting lots of texturing and animation pipeline issues, hoping to help the team reach a point where all of our new animation and textures are within the unreal engine project for our next deadlines. We are also struggling with general group de-motivation. People are not putting in a lot of work outside of class except for a select few, and morale in general seems low. I am planning on putting in some work over winter break so we can have a better chance at meeting our deadlines next semester, but it doesnt look great.
