Weeks 1 through 14, were written through my Spring Semester of my Junior year of College. They were posts written in large part for my professors to evaluate my progress. This post and onward, is to hold myself accountable with this project and the work I am doing on it. That being said, the format may change, and frequency of posts may rise. Here's the plan. (p.s. I read the book Atomic Habits and am working to adapt it's messages into my work on this production).

This past semester I spent a large part of my time maintaining an apartment, a paycheck, four classes unrelated to this production, and updating my Demo Reel for internship applications. 21 Internship applications, 0 Internships. Time to Refocus. This production is not where I believe we need it to be, and I want to organize my team to follow through with this summer. To do so, I will be putting in 40 hours a week for the next 8 weeks before the fall semester begins.

I have been working sporadically over the summer to learn a lot more of Unreal Engine. I have used the above linked tutorial to dive into the production features of Unreal Engine, from rendering features, setting up a scene's base lighting, to even creating master materials and accessing the megascans library and creating environments. On top of this, I have been working to organize my teams efforts as well as mine as an individual to prepare myself for the fulltime workload ahead of me. If I can create comprehensive goals and deadlines before I start working, I can create in a focused and efficient manner.

I am going to be reflecting on my work daily during these work weeks, and creating a comprehensive Vlog to express my progress and struggles. I will do this weekly, and ideally will continue it into the next school semester.

I will continue to develop detail and scope of this summer work project of mine as I enter it. My body of work will include organizing my teammates to stay accountable with their summer plans, Organize the Unreal Engine Project structure and documentation for my team to refer to and be guided by. Lastly, I will be making production progress with environmental asset creation and setting up cameras in each sequence. That's all for now, I will update you next week around Friday, where we will both see how much of this I have maintained.
